What kinds of items are available on Trade Tango?
If you take a look at our categories list, it will give you a pretty good idea of what you can trade at Trade Tango: Real estate, time shares, automobiles, motorcycles, trailers, other kinds of vehicles, boats, yachts, power sports, airplanes, helicopters, jewelry, watches, tickets, and anything else you might want to trade!
I have something I want to sell, not trade. Can I use Trade Tango?
Only trades are welcomed on Trade Tango. But you can trade all sorts of items as long as the trade is fair to both parties, either with additional items included in the trade or the agreed upon difference paid in cash. Why not give it a shot? You might just get lucky!
I saw an item I like on Trade Tango, but I don't have anything I can trade for it. What do I do?
First, take a look at what that person is looking for - you might just have what they need! With your membership to Trade Tango, you can contact the member who has the item you want, and see if you both can work out a trade of some kind. You never know!
Do I have to limit my search to my area?
No. You can search for members all over the country, or you can limit your search to your state. It all depends on what you're most comfortable with.
What if the person I want to trade with is not located near me?
It's up to the two of you to arrange for shipment or delivery of the traded items.
What part is free, and what part do I have to pay for?
Registering, listing the items you have, listing the items you want and performing unlimited searches is free. You only pay when you would like to view contact information - and your fee includes a one-year unlimited subscription to Trade Tango.
Are there going to be any "hidden" charges?
No. Your fee of $19.95 is for one full year of unlimited access to Trade Tango - so once you pay, you can make as many trades as you want!
Do you get a cut of the sale?
No. We make our money from our subscription fees only. We are not trade brokers - we simply get people in touch with each other.
Is my contact information safe?
Yes. We house your personal information on our secure servers. Only fellow paid members can have access to your contact information - and even then, only your email address. No other information is given, and we promise never to sell your information to third parties.
What if I want to trade one item for another item that is not the same?
That's OK! At Trade Tango, it's all about trading. If you find someone who wants what you've got, and you want something they have - as long as you agree on it, it's a fair trade!
What if I think the Trade Tango isn't an even trade?
Trade Tango asks that you provide an honest evaluation of the items you have, so that you can make the fairest trade possible with our other members. Often traders will "even out" the trade either with additional items included in the trade or the agreed upon difference paid in cash so both sides are happy. But, if you don't feel that a trade is even, you are under no obligation to make that trade.
My trade was unfair! Can you help me?
Trade Tango is only a forum for people to facilitate the advertising of people's trades. It is your responsibility to use due diligence during the trade and make sure you are getting what you are asking for, and that all legal requirements are met during your trading.
I want to swap real estate. How does that work?
While Trade Tango encourages trades of all types of items, with real estate it must be property for property because it is actually two sales instead of a trade - you buy their property, and they buy yours. As long as you can arrange the closing date on the same day, it's a Trade Tango!
You don't need a real estate agent, but you should have a lawyer and the title companies on hand to make everything go smoothly.
I'm still paying the mortgage on my real estate. Can I trade it?
Yes. Since it is two separate home sales, there is just a bit of math to be done regarding the value of each piece of property, the amount of equity brought to the table by each party, and the amount the new mortgage(s) should be. But, even if you have a mortgage and the other party has 100% equity, you can still make a real estate Trade Tango.
